Lego Club: This course for children aged 7-11 delivers the fundamentals of mindfulness in an active and practical way using Lego as a focus. Perfect for children who would find traditional mindfulness a challenge, we work on building confidence, active listening and building positive relationships as well as building lots of models!

Festival of Kindness 2019: Our festival saw the whole Aspull community come together to enjoy a festival to celebrate kindness to ourselves and each other. Local businesses and charities came along to share their wonderful talents and people enjoyed drumming, reiki taster sessions, Mokyfit, magic, a fairy trail, rock painting as well as meditation, mindfulness, storytelling and a barefoot sensory walk! Lots of fun had by everyone and lots of money raised for One House Community Centre! Our Kindness Ambassadors were on hand to help out and help people to add their kindness promise to our Tree of Kindness.

Family Mindfulness: This course was requested as parents were keen to find out more about what their children had been learning and this is exactly what the course provides. Families of all ages and combinations work together on an 8 week course to explore mindfulness techniques in practical ways and have fun.

Garden Party 2021: This August we celebrated the end of our ‘Get Aspull Growing’ project with a community Garden Party held at One House Community Centre. Children from the community were invited to take part in a range of activities such as glitter jar making, planting, bird house and bug hotel making and even ‘Bat the Bollie’. Bom to Bom drummers came along to deliver their popular drumming workshops and the adults took part in complimentary Reiki sessions. We also officially opened ‘The Karen Caffrey Suite’ to commemorate the wonderful lady who was responsible for opening the Community centre.

Aspull Feeling Good Festival 2023: Celebrating the end of our year long project with families and young people, we held a family friendly festival at the One House with a live portrait artist and comedy workshops for kids along with the more familiar attractions and activities. The weather was perfect and the whole community enjoyed a fun, activity filled day at the One House.
